Pleno de pruebas en una exigente segunda jornada

Las condiciones han hecho que la estrategia haya sido clave. Los polacos Dominik Buksak y Adam Glogowski continúan al frente de la clasificación.

El segundo día de competición de la Lanzarote International Regatta se ha presentado con condiciones de viento entre norte y nordeste, con muchas subidas y bajadas de intensidad bruscas: de rachas de 20 nudos de intensidad a cuatro nudos en cuestión de segundos.

 

En definitiva, un día complicado en el que se ha puesto a prueba la capacidad estratega de las tripulaciones, que han tenido que estar muy concentradas en leer el campo de regatas y poner el foco, más que nunca, fuera del barco. Con todo, el Comité de Regatas ha logrado dar salida a las cuatro mangas previstas para hoy.

 

La primera victoria del día fue para los españoles Pol Marsans (CN Arenys de Mar) y Pablo Llorens (RCN Coruña) mientras que los líderes pinchaban, convirtiéndose su séptimo puesto en su peor resultado hasta el momento y por tanto su descarte.

 

En la siguiente prueba Buksak y Glogowski salieron a por todas en busca de revancha y acertaron en sus decisiones, cruzando la línea de llegada en primera posición, mismo resultado con el que despidieron la jornada. La tripulación polaca lleva cuatro victorias en un total de ocho mangas disputadas hasta el momento.

 

Sus compatriotas Tytus Butowski y Borys Podumis irrumpen en la segunda plaza del podio, seguidos a seis puntos de los holandeses Robbert Huisman y Jorn Swart que mantienen el tercer puesto por segundo día consecutivo.

 

En cuanto a la representación española, Conrad Konitzer y Anto Torrado han ido de más a menos en las pruebas de hoy (sus puestos han sido 2-3-10-8), suficiente para conservar la quinta plaza general y seguir siendo la tripulación nacional mejor clasificada.

 

Mañana lunes se esperan condiciones de viento suave. A partir de las 13:00 hora peninsular continúan las pruebas.
